Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. Matthew Matt James is the is the son of Manny James, and Patty James of mixed race. Their father is Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. James graduated in 2010 at Sanderson High School. In 2015, he received a Bachelor of Economics degree from Wake Forest University. James became famous when his role as a reality TV actor on The Bachelorette. James was picked in 2020 as the bachelor of the year on The Bachelor season 25, being the show's first African American male star. The show premiered later in the year. James seems to be the ideal candidate to be the lead because the tall and handsome man is charming. Rachael Krakconnell who he had chosen as his partner through the remainder of the season. In the season 30 (in 2021) of Dancing with the Stars, it was a dance with Arnold. James and Arnold placed 12th.
